Beaches Local Food Network encourages and celebrates home gardening.  We are proud of the amount of food being grown in our local backyard, side yard and front yard gardens!

We invite you to submit photos of your gardens and any gardens in your neighborhood that have food growing ... even just a tomato or pepper plant.

 Please Include:
1) Location of garden
2) What's growing?
3) Date of Photo
4) Your name, if you'd like
it included. Or "Found" if it's not your garden.  :)

 Did you know?
  • Among the 78 million gardening households that have a lawn, garden or grow plants in containers, more than half (54%) grew vegetables this year!
  • Surveys show that factors such as the rising price of food crops, concerns about food crop safety, and a new rise in digital gardening information have contributed to the upsurge of households growing edible plants.
  • Foods that are harvested when mature and eaten within 3 days of harvest provide the maximum nutrition possible.
